ACROBATIC RAMPS

Airolo - 2020

Today, the Airolo ski resort serves as the national training center for freestyle skiing and is a regular stop on the FIS calendar for the European Cup in the Moguls and Aerials disciplines. In autumn 2020, Tenconi SA supplied the structures for the new galvanized steel ramps for the "Aerials" discipline (ramp category 1 and ramp category 3). The category 3 ramp will allow the ski resort to organize a World Cup stage.

The three structures have a protective rubber gasket on the outer profile that determines the curves of the ramps.

  • Category 1 ramp: The ramp curve allows skiers to perform a somersault.

  • Category 2 ramp: The ramp curve allows skiers to perform two somersaults.

  • Category 3 ramp: The ramp curve allows skiers to perform three somersaults.

Category 2 and 3 ramps have a removable ladder that allows the snow curve to be easily adjusted. The ladder support is a tube that when not in use, rotates 90° and avoids dangerous side protrusions. The ladder, if not used, can be stored inside the ramp, with also other material, thanks to the access door in the front part.

Technical characteristics:

  • Material: Steel
