PONTE NAVEGNA

The project is aimed at replacing the existing structure, "Ponte Navegna", located in the territory of the Municipality of Minusio, with a new one designed according to current regulations and in accordance with the latest requirements of the SBB.
The new Ponte Navegna, put into operation at the end of November 2020, replaces the old iron bridge over the Navegna stream dating back to 1905. In fact, following the state of deterioration highlighted by a preliminary study and the need to cope with a significant increase in traffic on the line with the commissioning of the Ceneri base tunnel, it was decided to replace the existing bridge with a mixed steel/concrete deck and new concrete abutments around the existing ones.
